research and product development across companies, industries and geographies. By fostering consistency among technologies, industry standards reduce research and
development expenses, accelerate time-to-market, and enable companies to develop products that are compatible with those developed by others.
As part of our participation in industry standards bodies, we license our patents on either a royalty-free basis or on reasonable and nondiscriminatory (RAND) terms to
those who adopt and implement the industry standards.
