The Jornada 420 was the first pocket-size Jornada.

The Jornada 420 was HP's first pocket-size Jornada, and it was the first Microsoft Windows CE pocket-size PC with a color screen. Weighing 8.81 ounces and measuring 5.1 inches by 3.2 inches by 0.9 inches, it ran Microsoft Windows CE 2.11 and had full e-mail capabilities as well as a Motorola pager module that allowed immediate delivery of up-to-date information to the user without a modem.

It also featured a pen and touch interface, speaker and microphone, lithium-ion battery pack, cradle, synch cable, AC adapter and a built-in solitaire game.
