This HP Pavilion 2000 was designed for the Japanese market.

Designed to be sold in Japan, this version of the HP Pavilion 2000 featured a small footprint for the space-conscious Japanese population and colors that were popular in Japan at the time. Excess inventory of this model sold phenomenally well in U.S. retail stores because of its unique design. As changing tastes became more global, elements of this design were later included in Pavilions made for users in the United States.
