HP at Silvers Summit at CES 2009

AARP Life@50+ Event

Every seven seconds, someone somewhere turns 50. There are nearly 90 million adults who are 50+ in America today, and 37 million are AARP members. At the AARP Life@50+ conference in Boston September 4-6, 2008, this dynamic, powerful group learned about technology solutions and tips from HP, Microsoft, Presto and QualiLife.

HP sponsors National Veterans Wheelchair Games

HP Public Sector Federal and the HP Accessibility Program has sponsored the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, presented by the Paralyzed Veterans of America and the VA, for the past 10 years. At this year’s games in Omaha, Nebraska (25-29 July 2008), over 600 athletes compete in over 17 events. As part of our sponsorship, HP demonstrates the latest products to the athletes, other veterans and their families.

Assistive Technology Industry Association
2007 Conference

ATIA 2007 serves as a leading forum for the Assistive Technology community to participate in presentations and discussions about new technology, practical applications, and services. Segments of the Assistive Technology industry (Augmentative and Alternative Communication; Blindness; Computer Access; Curriculum Adaptations; Deaf and Hard of Hearing; Electronic Aids to Daily Living; Games and Recreation; Learning Disabilities/Study Aids/Literacy; Low Vision; and Mechanical Accessories and Mounting Devices) will be represented in various presentations, demonstrations and/or exhibits. In addition, a hands-on lab will provide an opportunity to experiment with and evaluate the latest assistive technology devices and software available. ATIA 2007 Conference will be held January 24-27, 2007 at the Caribe Royale All-Suites Resort & Convention Center.

CSUN's 2007 Annual International Conference

HP has sponsored the California State University, Northridge Center on Disabilities (CSUN) Annual International Technology and Persons with Disabilities Conference for several years. The next event is scheduled for March 19 - 24, 2007 in Los Angeles, California.

The largest conference of its kind, it addresses technologies across all ages; disabilities; levels of education and training; employment; and independent living.

2006 Disability Mentoring Day

Disability Mentoring Day (DMD) is sponsored by the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD). HP celebrates Disability mentoring day every year. This year, DMD will be commemorated on Wednesday, October 18, 2006, which will be the official kick-off for a year-round effort.

The program now reaches more locations and more students than ever before. As a global company, HP hosts DMD activities in Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific regions. The HP Houston Texas location also hosts Accessibility Awareness Day.
