If you are V2 Practitioner certified, while your certifications are valid, there will no longer be an expedited path to ITIL V3 Expert. You will have to go through the ITIL V3 curriculum path starting with ITIL V3 Foundation and then through the V3 Intermediates (Lifecycle and/or Capability Courses + Managing Through the Lifecycle (MALC)) in some combination, to obtain the minimum 22 credits necessary in order to obtain the ITIL Expert Certification

Take V3 (Capability, Life Cycle) courses most appropriate for meeting your organization’s project and certification goals.
To achieve 22 points for ITIL Expert status, you must have either (a) at least 17 credits from the V2 Practitioner, V3 Capability, and V3 Life Cycle courses, or (b) at least 10 1/2 V2 Practitioner credits plus the V2 Managers Bridge.
In either case, you must also take “Managing Across the Life Cycle” (shown below).
