HP's ITIL Manager exam prep courses, delivered by our highly experienced and passionate ITIL Manager instructors, are designed to help you start off on the right track so that you can plan and use your study time as effectively as possible.
Here is a typical timeline for a candidate's journey through the ITIL Manager courses and exam prep courses:
Why two different exam prep courses?
HP's exam prep course H8990S ITIL Managers
Exam Prep has been available for a number of years, with a focus on helping
ITIL Manager candidates analyze the case study on which much of the exam is
based. By necessity, H8990S is delivered approximately two weeks prior to
the exam, as the case study on which is based is made available by the exam
provider at that time and not before.
Effective study and preparation for the exam, though, must
begin immediately after taking the first of the two Service Manager courses (U8687S
Managers Course in IT Service Management - Service Support and U8688S Managers
Courses in IT Service Management - Service Delivery) - beginning rigorous
study and preparation only two weeks prior to the exam is rarely sufficient and
limits one's confidence and preparedness for the exam.
Candidates wanting to start their study and preparation
efforts early and on the right track should take the course HH026S ITIL Managers
Exam: Tips and Techniques for Planning, Studying for, and Taking the Exam.
This course focuses not on the case study but on how to use one's time most
effectively in studying the ITIL books with an eye toward the nature and
structure of the exam, how points are scored, and best practices in managing
one's study time. You will exit this course with a solid study plan that
you and other candidates will develop during the course with guidance from your
instructor.
