This hands-on training course explores the foundations of designing VMware® View™ architectures. This course is 50 percent lecture, and 50 percent case work.

This 1-day course is a consolidation-assessment and decision-support tool used to build the best possible infrastructure virtualization plan to help contain server sprawl and reduce power and cooling costs. Capacity Planner automates the data collection and analysis of server resources and their performance and utilization profiles so that you can effectively plan your virtualization projects and drive your business. This course trains consultants and systems engineers to use VMware proprietary tools to collect and view system, inventory, and performance data.

This 1-day hands-on training course equips system administrators with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to achieve competence in building and running a highly available VMware® vSphere™ 4 virtual infrastructure. This course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent hands-on labs.

 

» VMware vSphere: Overview [V4]

This 1-day hands-on training course introduces the most compelling features of VMware® vSphere™ 4. This course demonstrates vSphere features that help to reduce your IT costs while improving efficiency, availability, flexibility, and manageability. This course is 60 percent lecture, 40 percent hands-on lab.

» VMware vSphere: Fast Track

This very intensive 5-day, extended hours course provides the quickest way for experienced system administrators and system integrators to gain the skills and knowledge to build and run a highly available and scalable VMware vSphere environment.

The HH629s VMware vSphere Fast-track course includes the content from three full vSphere classes
  • Install, Configure, Manage (HH627S)
  • Manage Availability (HH641S)
  • and Manage Scalability (HH639S)
plus other advanced topics such as commandline administration. During the HH629s vSphere Fast Track training week, students will also receive access to over seven hours of self-paced training. Upon completion of training course and some self-study, students can take the VMware examination (VCP410) at a VUE Exam center to qualify as a VMware Certified Professional(VCP)

This 2 day hands-on training course explores new features in future versions of VMware® vCenter Server and ESX™/ESXi, as well as how to upgrade. 50% lecture and 50% hands-on labs and simulations.

» VMware Virtual Desktop Manager

This 4-day hands-on training course, aimed at experienced VMware Infrastructure 3 administrators, covers installation, configuration, and management of a VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using VMware Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM). The course focuses on the delivery of virtual Windows® desktops using the VDM connection-server. This course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent hands-on labs.

This 2-day hands-on training course is aimed at experienced VMware Infrastructure 3 administrators. The course covers installation, configuration, and operation of VMware Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and testing of disaster recovery plans with SRM.

This 4-day hands-on training course explores how to design VMware Infrastructure architectures with a focus on manageability, availability, and scalability. This classroom training consists of 50% lecture and 50% design exercises.

This 1-day hands-on training course introduces the most compelling features of VMware Infrastructure 3. This course demonstrates VMware Infrastructure 3 features capable of reducing your IT costs while improving efficiency, availability, flexibility, and manageability.

» VMware View Essentials Workshop

This 1-day course is designed to introduce the student to VMware View. Students will learn about the use cases, functionality, features and benefits of View Manager. The course is approximately 60% lecture and 40% labs.

» VMware Infrastructure 3.5: What's New v3.5 Workshop

This 1-day workshop focuses on the primary new features of ESX 3.5 and VirtualCenter 2.5. It is a lab orientated session. This workshop is aimed at experienced users of Virtual Infrastructure 3 (VI3). It does not count towards any VMware certification or replace any instructor led training on VI3.

 

» VMware Certification Preparation Session Training

This 2-hour online VCP Certification Exam Prep seminar includes lecture time, some product demonstrations with live equipment as well as class discussion and a question & answer session.

This short class is not a walk-through of brain-dump questions, but a review of topics studied in the VMware Infrastructure 3: Install and Configure V3.5 class course (HB513S), review of the additional reading topics candidates as well as studying question answering techniques; all of which is designed to ensure delegates are fully aware of the learning objectives they are required to achieve.

» VMware Infrastructure 3: Fast Track V3.5

This 5-day intensive, extended-hours training course covers the installation, management, and use of VMware ESX Server, VirtualCenter, VMware DRS, VMware HA, and VMware Consolidated Backup. It combines the content from the 3.5 versions of the VMware Infrastructure 3: Install and Configure and Deploy, secure, and Analyze training courses. Upon completion of this course you can take the examination to qualify as a VMware Certified Professional. The course is 50% lecture and 50% hands on labs. This course is equivalent to VMware Fast Track version 3.5 rev B.


» Implementing HP Insight Control for VMware Virtual Infrastructure

This 1-day course is an excellent follow-on to the VMware Virtual Infrastructure 3: Installation and Configuration course (HB513S). It provides students with the skills needed to effectively deploy and manage the VMware Virtual Infrastructure using ProLiant Essentials software.

» VMware Infrastructure 3: Skills for operators

This 2-day, hands-on training course explores managing VMware infrastructure 3 operations and configuration, and covers VMware ESX Server and VMware VirtualCenter.


» VMware capacity planner (Partner Only)

This 2-day partner only course trains consultants and systems engineers to use VMware proprietary tools to collect and view system, inventory, and performance data for use in consolidation, capacity planning, and performance tuning projects. Additionally, this course is a consoidation assessment and decision support tool used by organiations to build the best possible infrastructure virtualization plan to contain server sprawl and reduce power and cooling costs. It automates the data collection and analysis of server resources and their performance and utilization profiles.


» VMware Infrastructure 3: Deploy, Secure and Analyze V3.5

This 4-day hands-on course covers mass deployment of ESX Server hosts using scripted installation, configuration and use of VMware Consolidated Backup (VCB), VMware Updated Manager and security features. The course conveys skills for management of ESX Server hosts using local CLI utilities, Troubleshooting tips are presented throughout. The course has been updated to reflect ESX Server 3.5 and VirtualCenter 2.5, and focuses on ESX Server 3.5 rather than ESX Server 3i.

 

» VMware Infrastructure 3: Install and Configure V3.5

This 4-day hands-on course explores VMware Infrastructure 3, which consists of VMware ESX Server and VMware VirtualCenter, and has been updated to reflect version 3.5. Upon completion of this course, you can take the examination to become a VMware Certified Professional. Troubleshooting guidance, best practices and lab exercises are interspersed throughout the course. This course is 50% lecture and 50% hands-on lab.

» Virtual infrastructure with ESX server and VirtualCenter

This 4-day, hands-on training course explores VMware ESX server virtual infrastructure software for consolidating and partitioning servers in high-performance environments. This course covers the use of the product both itself and also in conjunction with VMware VirtualCenter, virtual infrastructure management software. The course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent labs.
