»HP LeftHand Advanced SAN Training

This 1-day course covers covers best practices for HP LeftHand SAN - based on field experiences and applied industry knowledge. This training covers topics such as installation and configuration of SAN/iQ Software, use and verification of iSCSI Initiators, MPIO, disk partition offsets, Windows performance monitoring, IOmeter, and other field concepts. This course is 50% lecture and 50% lab.

»HP LeftHand SAN basic training

This 1-day course covers the basic information required to understand, manage, and configure your HP LeftHand SAN. This training covers topics such as SAN/iQ Software features and functionality, configuration, the iSCSI protocol, as well as SAN/iQ Software in several popular application environments such as Microsoft SQL, Microsoft Exchange, and Oracle. At the end of the class, exams are administered to course attendees to achieve certification.

»EVA 2: Business Continuity and Availability

This 3-day instructor-led training course introduces the student to the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array data replication environment. That environment includes both local replication (Business Copy Enterprise Virtual Array [BC EVA]) and remote replication (Continuous Access Enterprise Virtual Array) solutions. The focus of this course, however, is the remote replication capability represented by Continuous Access EVA. Also discussed is the Replication Solutions Manager (RSM) software application.

This 4-day XP course will build on introductory XP Training and hands on experience with in depth training on the more complex software products utilized with the XP Disk Array Family. Students will understand how to use these products in depth and use them to deliver solutions to real world design questions.

This 5-day course provides a comprehensive and accelerated understanding of SAN technologies and concepts. Students will gain the experience needed to tackle the challenges of working in enterprise class SAN environments.

» HP StorageWorks XP 1: Configuration and Management

This 5-day course introduces students to the XP disk array terminology, function, architecture, and configuration. This course is a hands-on course that allows the student to configure LUNs, custom volumes, and logical unit size extension volumes as part of an overall high availability solution. Students will also learn about replication solutions available for the XP. This version uses updated releases of Command View XP Advanced Edition and Performance Advisor.

» Replication solutions for the HP StorageWorks EVA

This 3-day course provides the student with practical information and hands-on experience in implementing and operating HP StorageWorks Business Copy and Continuous Access for the EVA. This course describes Business Copy and Continuous Access concepts, planning and installation, and operations. The course also provides instructions on how to fail over and manage Continuous Access EVA using the Replication Solutions Manager interface and Command View EVA. Continuous Access EVA extended configurations, best practices, and troubleshooting complete the course materials.

This five-day course provides a comprehensive understanding of the leading SAN technologies and the hands-on experience needed to tackle the challenges of working with multi-vendor solutions.

» EVA 1: Managing HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array

This 4-day course combines theory and practical labs to teach users how to manage the HP StorageWorks Enterprise Virtual Array. The concepts and terminology are covered in-depth followed by configuration tasks which include Command View EVA, Local Replication with Snapshots and Mirrorclones, Business Copy and Continuous Access via the Replication Solutions Manager, Multi-path management with HP MPIO DSM on Windows, Secure Path (autopath) Management on UNIX, scripting with SSSU, upgrading controller and disk drive firmware.
