» HP ServiceDesk 5.1 Software: Delta

This 4-day, administrator level course covers changes between Service Desk 4.5 and 5.x. Topics covered include the new OpenView Console user interface, architecture, capabilities, terms, scheduler, new objects, installer program, licensing, OVPI reporting, the expanded Service Level Manager module with Hierarchy Filters, Service Definitions and Service Modeling. This course is 50% lecture and 50% hands-on labs.

» HP ServiceDesk 5.x Software: End-User

This course provides a generic base for end-user HP Service Desk 5.x Software product training. Modules from this base set may be arranged into sessions that target IT staff members by role. Base modules may be customized for the processes, workflow, procedures, and specific Service Desk implementation at a given customer site. The modules for this course are arranged so that all end-users attend the beginning of the class, then specific end-user types attend one or more additional modules based on their roles and responsibilities, up to four days. This course is 50% lecture and 50% lab.

» HP ServiceDesk 5.x Software: Administration II

This course expands Service Desk administrator skills attained in the prerequisite course, HP ServiceDesk 5.x Software: Administration (UC328S). It focuses on installing, implementing, configuring, and integrating Service Desk. Extensive Service Level Management features comprise a major portion of this 4-day course. Other topics include email integration, the Service Desk Agent, the Object Loader, Data Exchange, Archiving data, and SD/SLM reporting with OVPI. This courses is 50% lecture and 50% hands-on.

» Managing Events with HP NNM, Operations and ECS Composer Software

This advanced course focuses on the management and reduction of events detected by Network Node Manager (Unix or Windows) and Operations for Unix. It describes strategies for distributing SNMP traps between NNM and Operations management systems, and for capturing syslog events. Techniques for reducing the events seen by NNM and Operations users are studied. Labs provide hands-on practice correlating events, using ECS Composer with both NNM and Operations. This course is for those with experience using NNM or Operations as event capture and configuration tools.

» HP Configuration Management Software: OS Manager

This 3-day course is a primer for configuring and implementing a deployment strategy for an Operating System image. It covers implementation and operational concepts, the architecture of the HP onfiguration Management (CM) Software OS Manager environment, as well as how to prepare, publish and deploy OS images. Students learn basic and intermediate administration techniques. An in-depth analysis of the features and tools provides adminstrators with all the skills to effectively manage CM Operating System images in their environment.

» HP Configuration Management Software: Patch Manager

This 2-day course covers the architecture, installation, configuration, and operations of the HP Configuration Management (CM) Software Patch Manager. From the lab exercises, students learn how to install and configure the infrastructure; acquire and publish patches; view reports for the patches by acquisition, compliance, and research; entitle and manage the patches on HP CM Software Patch Manager Clients; automate the update of the patch agent; and export, import and delete Patch bulletins using the CM Database Utility.


» HP Operations Manager for Windows II (Advanced Administration)

This 5-day course is for Computer System Administrators, and others, who already have some experience with the HP Operations Software for Windows product. Students will build on their existing knowledge of HP Operations Software for Windows and learn how to effectively utilize advanced HP Operations Software for Windows features. Students will also learn to configure HP Operations Software for Windows for interoperability and integration with other HP Software products, including NNM, Internet Services, Service Desk and MS Cluster.
