This course provides the opportunity for system administrators experienced with previous releases of HP-UX 11i to develop hands-on experience with many new, updated and enhanced features of HP-UX 11i v3. Course topics of discussion include security, networking and administration features, with hands-on lab exercises focusing on HP-UX 11i v3 administration features. The 2-day course is 50% lecture and 50% hands-on labs using HP servers. |

By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Describe the major features and components of HP's integrity server line-up
- View, add, and replace interface cards using pdweb, ioscan, and the EFI utilities
- Access and use the MP console, virtual front panel, and command menu interfaces
- Manage the 11i v2 boot process via the EFI interface
- Cold install or update HP-UX 11i v2 via Ignite-UX or update-ux
- Manage HP-UX 11i v2 kernels via kcweb, kcmodule, kctune and related commands
- Manage the HP-UX 11i v2 dump process via selective & compressed crash dumps
- Create, modify, boot, and remove node partitions (nPars) locally and remotely
