A Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist in Business Desktop Deployment (MCTS: Deploying & Maintaining Windows Vista Client and 2007 Microsoft Office System Desktops) deploy and maintain Windows Vista desktops. MCTS have a minimum of one year of experience managing day-to-day issues with desktop deployments. This exam is the Windows Vista version of Exam 74-134: Pre-Installing Microsoft Products and Technologies, focused on the OEM Pre-installation Kit (OPK).

MCTS candidates must pass exam 70-624 to receive certification for Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist: Business Desktop Deployment. This exam also provides credit toward Windows Server certifications including: MCSA on Windows 2000, MCSA on Windows Server 2003, MCSE on Windows 2000 and MCSE on Windows Server 2003.
