This course includes the EXIN IPRC (ITIL Practitioner Release and Control) exam.
For RAIL (live online instructor-led) sessions: The course will be in session on all five days (approximately 8:30am-4:30pm Central Time). This schedule allows you some extra office or study time at the end of each day. After completing the course, you will take the exam through CSME. Upon registering, you will receive specific instructions on how to arrange for your exam. HP strongly recommends that you take the exam within a few days of completing the course.

For face-to-face instructor-led sessions: The exam will be administered from 1:30pm - 3:30pm on the afternoon of the last day. Students should arrange their return travel accordingly.
Course overview
This 5-day course focuses on the implementation and management of the Release and Control processes and functions that are responsible for achieving control and stability within an IT infrastructure and include effective Change and Release Management, based on an effective Configuration Management system. It consists of 4 days of lectures and hands-on activities and one day of exam review with exam. The course will include individual and group assignments required for certification as well as homework.
Please ensure you have a copy of your ITIL Foundation certificate available, as HP will be requesting a copy prior to you attending class. Students who have not provided proof of Foundation certification prior to the class start will not be allowed to sit the exam administered at the end of class. An exam only expense will be incurred to take the exam at a later date. Since Foundation certificates can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to receive after passing the exam, please take this time delay into account when scheduling this Practitioner class.

The course will cover the typical activities of a practitioner in management of the Change
Management, Release Management and Configuration Management processes and will focus on the following areas:

Plan the key activities in the Change Management, Release Management and Configuration Management processes.
Plan the exchange of appropriate information relevant to managing the Release and Control processes.
Initiate actions to ensure the key activities in the Release and Control processes meet the agreed objectives set.
Report on the effectiveness and efficiency of the activities in the Release and Control processes.
Organizing
Organize the exchange of appropriate information with other processes.
Provide Change, Release and Configuration Management information to other IT Service Management processes, users and suppliers.
Maintain the procedures of the Release and Control processes.
Maintain the baselines of configurations and status information of Configuration items.
Provide instructions for designing, building and configuring releases.
Give advice on the back-out and test plans for changes and releases.
Plan the implementation of releases.
