This course helps service professionals prepare for HP Service Qualification which is required for warranty labor reimbursements and service partner program entitlements. Access to Service Qualification plans including requirements, exams and training is available here.


Course overview

This course builds on the knowledge and skills covered in the web-based pre-study training. The hands-on class provides labs focused on disassembly and assembly, calibration, usage and troubleshooting tips and tricks. Students associated with HP authorized support partners who hold the HP APS LaserJet certification and successfully complete this class will earn Service Qualification for all products listed below.

In order to receive HP service authorization program benefits, including part discounts and warranty reimbursements, your student ID number must be provided. Please have your student ID number available at sign-in on the first day of class. If you do not have a student ID or do not remember your number, please call 800-544-9976. You must provide your outlet ID (OID) number or have your company PPA update your profile in order to be associated with your company if you are employed by an HP authorized support provider.

Prerequisites

Service personnel are required to complete the following web-based courses before attending Instructor Led training:

Instructions for accessing Web-based courses on the Learning Center:

  • Enter your student ID number and your last name (you must have your dealer ID number associated with your student ID to view the product classes)
  • Click "Available courses"
  • Choose "Grouped by subject" from the drop down menu
  • Choose your course from the displayed list
  • The course information datasheet will provide you with the description of the course and estimated duration of the class.

Training is also accessible from the training section of the partner portal.
