Course overview
In this 2-day course you will learn
how to use the Enterprise Toolkit (ETK) to build applications for both the Open
System Services (OSS) and Guardian environments of the HP NonStop Kernel operating
system, including programs with embedded SQL statements. "Build" means code, compile,
link and deploy onto the NonStop server.
Users new to the NonStop server application development environment will benefit
from learning how to exploit the compiler features. You will learn to use Visual
Inspect (VI) to debug programs from the desktop.
Hands-on labs are used at various points to provide reinforcement of the lecture
material. This course is intended for developers who will be creating applications
for, or porting applications to, a NonStop server.
Prerequisites
Concepts and facilities course
Working knowledge of either C, C++, COBOL85 or pTAL
Working knowledge of NonStop SQL
