Course overview

This course examines the internal data structures and code flows of HP TruCluster Server software. It examines the actions of the daemons to detect failures and communicate with each other. It shows and explains the actual source code from the HP TruCluster version 5.0a product.


Prerequisites

To get the most from this course, students should be able to install HP TruCluster software, including being able to set up member systems, available services, read system event logs, and explain file system internal concepts. Students should also be able to read C code. These prerequisites can be achieved by taking the HP TruCluster configuration and management course, the HP Tru64 UNIX system internals II course, and a C language programming course.
