Course overview
This course provides students with the training needed to use TP/IP commands and the CDE interface to install and manage HP Tru64 UNIX network configurations.
Prerequisites
Students should be able to log in to an HP Tru64 UNIX system, startup and shut down the system, use an editor on the system, manage files, interpret error log files, and create, mount and backup file systems. They should also be able to install the HP Tru64 UNIX operating system software and software subsets.
Audience
This course is designed for students who will be managing a UNIX network that includes Tru64 UNIX systems, who want to increase their knowledge of Tru64 UNIX networking to include configuration, installation, and management of TCP/IP networking, including NFS, NIS, BIND, DHCP, remote installation, SNMP, and PPP. The course demonstrates how to set up and manage Tru64 UNIX networks using the Common Desktop Environment (CDE), the standard graphical user interface for UNIX systems.
