The HP Tru64 UNIX system administration course is designed for students who will be installing and managing a HP Tru64 UNIX system. The course covers the basics from installing operating system software and optional software, to managing file systems and devices, to creating user accounts. The course demonstrates how to manage a HP Tru64 Unix system using the four methods of performing administrative tasks including SysMan Tool, SysMan Station, graphical user interfaces in the Common Desktop Environment, and command-line scripts.
To get the most from this course, students should be able to log into and move within a UNIX system, use an editor on the system, manage files and directories, use non-privileged commands and write and debug simple shell programs. These skills can be acquired by taking the course UNIX utilities & commands.
This course is designed for students with some experience in a UNIX environment, who will be managing an HP Tru64 UNIX system.
This course will show you how to use multiple interfaces, and provides practice and preparation for the HP Tru64 UNIX v5 administration, integration & support and HP Tru64 UNIX v5 advanced administration, support & performance certification exams.
