Exam overview

This exam in conjunction with the HP-UX advanced administration exam (HP0-096) and previous receipt of HP-UX CSA certification completes the requirements needed to apply for HP-UX Certified System Engineer (CSE) recognition.

Audience

System and network administrators, system integrators, support engineers, and technical consultants working with HP-UX and specifically those implementing high availability solutions (based on HP’s Serviceguard). These professionals are expected to have working knowledge of the HP-UX high availability environment and at least 1 year of hands-on experience.

Suggested preparation

A candidate may wish to consider some or all of the following HP education training courses to augment their ‘real world’ experiences in preparation for the HP0-914 exam:

• HP Serviceguard I (H6487S)

This next course is not specifically required but the exam assumes a working level of expertise in shell programming. Candidates may want to consider taking:

• POSIX shell programming (H4322S)

This next course is not specifically required prior to taking the exam but it would serve to increase a candidates comfort level and knowledge of configuration options:

• HP Serviceguard II: Disaster Tolerance, Continental Clusters, CFS, and Oracle RAC (U8601S)

Recertification

As HP products are launched, HP will update course offerings and introduce new certification exams. Candidates will have 6 months to take new exams to keep their certification current.

Registration Process for HPCP HP-UX HP0-095, HP0-096, HP0-914, HP0-090 Exam at a Prometric Testing site

Some HPCP certification exams are delivered via a network of Authorized Testing Centers located throughout the world.

• Create your HPCP profile first.
• Then go the HPCP Exam Registration web site: http://www.hp.com/certification/americas/examregistration.html and click on the link for Client Exams ID HP0, HP1
• Follow the registration steps to locate a Prometric Center and register for the relevant HPCP HP-UX Certification Exam

Once you have completed your exam
