During this 4 days instructor-led training course, students learn the necessary skills to migrate and implement from an IPv4 routing/switching network environment to an IPv6 routing/switching environment, and see the immediate and long-term benefits of HP's non-proprietary implementations.
Students will use their existing IPv4 theoretical & practical WAN/LAN knowledge to complete hands-on activities interacting with other groups or teams contributing towards effectively fulfilling the objectives.
Course topics include: configuring IPv6 Autoconfig, Manual IPv6 addressing, IPv6 Routing, OSPFv3 Routing, configuring DHCPv6, configuring Transition Technologies, ie. Dual-stack IPv4 & IPv6, MPLS, MBGP, ACL3, NAT-PT. Students will also receive an overview on the Background to IPv6, Introduction to IPv6 addressing, IPv6 Packet Structure and the basic IPv6 protocol.
HK640S - Migrating to HP Enterprise Networking Technologies using Comware Software
Upon successful completion of this course, the students will have demonstrated the ability to migrate to and implement from a HP Networking IPv4 routing/switching environment to an IPv6 routing/switching environment.
Most particularly, they will master the deployment & configuration of the following protocols & services:
Overview on the Background to IPv6, Introduction to IPv6 addressing, IPv6 Packet Structure and the basic IPv6 protocol
Evaluate the student's theoretical as well as practical LAN/WAN knowledge
Promote student's ability in problem solving and decision-making skills
Use a wide variety of skills that has been learned throughout the course with a degree of accuracy to properly design, deploy, implement & migrate from an IPv4 routing/switching network to an IPv6 routing/switching network, using HP LAN/WAN hardware
Interact with others in groups or teams in ways that contribute to effective working relationships and other achievement of goals
