Course objectives

HP Insight Control Rapid Deployment software is a server deployment solution that facilitates the installation, configuration, and consistent deployment of high-volumes of servers through either a GUI-based or a web-based console, using either scripting or imaging technology. Server configuration time is reduced, making it possible to scale server deployments to high volumes in rapid fashion.
At the conclusion of this course, you should be able to:

  • Discuss advanced deployment techniques involving HP Insight Control Server Deployment, such as scripting, multicasting, security, and automation environment
  • Deploy Microsoft Hyper-V, create a Microsoft Windows Server virtual machine, and deploy Microsoft Windows Server 2008 to this virtual machine
  • Deploy Microsoft SQL Server using HP Insight Control Server Deployment
  • Create virtual computers and set up virtual bays within HP Insight Control Server Deployment
  • Manage target servers with multiple partitions Deploy VMware ESX, create a Red Hat Enterprise Linux virtual machine, and deploy Red Hat Enterprise Linux to this virtual machine
  • Deploy Red Hat Package Manager (RPM) using the Deployment Console
