Course overview
The HP Integrity Superdome 2 server offers a solid foundation for mission-critical converged infrastructures. This course provides an overview of the complex components and practical experience using the enhanced Onboard Administrator (OA) management tools to monitor and manage the Superdome 2 complex, including node and virtual partitions. The course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent hands-on labs using HP servers.

HP-UX System and Network Administration I (H3064S) and
HP-UX System and Network Administration II (H3065S) or
HP-UX System and Network Administration for Experienced UNIX® System Administrators (H5875S) or
Equivalent HP-UX administration experience

Course objectives
At the conclusion of this course you should be able to:
Correlate Superdome 2 (SD2) hardware components with their functionality within thecomplex
Interface with the OA to configure, monitor, manage, and access SD2 components and firmware
Interact with the Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) to configure partition boot parameters and manually boot a partition
Configure, manage, and control virtual partitions (vPars v5) from the Superdome OA
Configure Instant Capacity compute resources in a Superdome 2 partition
