Students will learn to identify and resolve issues related to client connectivity, roaming, and authentication using network management software and device debugging commands. Students will become familiar with common issues and their resolutions as well as troubleshooting methods and tools that are used to identify and resolve unfamiliar or undocumented issues. This course is equivalent to The Learning Center 00313556 Troubleshooting HP Enterprise Wireless Networks course from the ExpertOne program.
Students must complete the following prerequisite courses before attending Troubleshooting HP Enterprise Wireless Networks:
HP Wireless LAN Technologies (WBT)
Implementing A-Series Wireless LANs (ILT)
Introducing HP Intelligent Management Center (IMC)
Students will learn troubleshooting techniques to resolves issues with HP Networking A-Series Wireless Product deployment and operation. Instruction and student activities will focus on using IMC as a troubleshooting tool throughout the course.
Optimize and troubleshoot an enterprise wireless network
Centrally manage and troubleshoot a wireless network using Intelligent Management Center (IMC)
Interpret event logs to identify and troubleshoot wireless network issues
List common wireless networking issues, causes, and resolutions
Use networking, debug, and hidden commands to troubleshoot problems with wireless networks
Capture wireless network packets and interpret results
Resolve issues related to lack of power or power failure
Resolve cabling problems
Resolve problems with AC discovery and AP management
