Course overview

The HP Scitex FB500/FB700 Install, Service and Repair course is an extensive introduction to the HP Scitex FB500 printer and provides the basic knowledge to support the press. The course exposes the engineer to the installation process and the printers various systems and deepens his/her understanding of them. It also covers the machine's main features, different components and how to repair them along with the proper way of operation. Finally, it prepares the engineer for supporting customers and dealing with common problems they are facing. The course is based on theoretical and practical sessions.


Prerequisites

  • Successful completion of HP Sign & Display/Scitex FB500/700 Level 1 Operator training HK238S
  • English comprehension at a technical level required for comprehending the course materials
  • Prior knowledge and proficiency of basic digital inkjet operation and concepts
  • Prior technical experience in digital inkjet preferred but not required

Audience

  • HP Service Engineers or approved HP reseller
  • The materials in the course have been written for persons who need a thorough understanding of both how to operate and how to service and support the printer

The objectives of the course is to:

  • Deliver useful, applicable information about the machine hardware, functions, capabilities, and use
  • Prepare the attendees with the necessary knowledge and baseline familiarity with the machine hardware to perform successful field service through calibration, mechanical adjustment, and part replacement
  • Prepare the attendees with the necessary knowledge and understanding both to diagnose and correct machine operational problems and output complaints and adequately explains issues and manage customer perception of the same
