Using NonStop Essentials with HP Systems Insight Manager

Course overview

This course prepares you to work with operational tools within the HP Systems Insight Manager (HPSIM). You will be introduced to NonStop Cluster Essentials, I/O Essentials, Software Essentials and Performance Essentials. Topics include: cluster configuration/management, account creation/management, health summaries, managing tasks their categories, event viewer, running scripts, installing components, alert notifications, agent configuration, security management, remote workstations, and inventory reports. This 3-day course is 70 percent lecture and 30 percent hands-on labs using HP servers.

Prerequisites

• HP NonStop NS-series Server Administration I (U8528S) or HP NonStop NB-series Server Adminstration I
• At least six months experience operating Integrity NonStop servers

• One dedicated NonStop NS-Series server with a minimum of:
• NonStop Kernel operating system, version H06.04 or later and J06.03 or later with corresponding NonStop Essentials host licenses
• Six disk volumes in addition to the system disk
• 96 MB memory per CPU
• Ethernet connectivity
• TCP/IP software package (SD20)
• One PC per student and one PC for the instructor with projection capabilities
