Course overview

This 3-day course is designed to be a technical experience of the HP Thin Client Solution. This course gives a summary of the remote computing functions, gives the criteria for matching clients to customer requirements, instructs the appropriate identification and utilization of technology for a customer demonstration and details information on each operating system and client implementation.


Prerequisites

Prior to the attendance of this course, any HP Partners and Reseller participants should have completed the HP Thin Client Sales Certification WBTs below:
  • The "Thin Client Family Level Sales Training WBT course= ID 00103221 (prior to June 15th,2009) or replacement WBT= 00111346 (after June 15th,2009)
  • In addition, ‘HP Thin Client New Product Briefs’ WBT = ID 00092325 also recommended.

    These WBTs support HPCP Thin Client Sales Certification Exam = HP2-H04. To access these WBTs, Partners should go to the HP Partner Learning Center

All HG816s participants should also have a working knowledge of the following:
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Windows and Remote Desktop Protocol
  • Perform Windows 2003 Server administrative tasks
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Windows 2003 Server platform key components including: Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, FTP
  • Demonstrate knowledge of network infrastructure concepts and definitions, standard TCP/IP networking and associated concepts (DNS, DHCP, FTP)
  • Understand Altiris client imaging or HE645S or equivalent knowledge

Individuals participating in this course should be those who are required to have a technical knowledge of the HP Thin Client Solution.
