Course overview

This course provides prepress professionals with the knowledge and skills to build and load jobs to an HP Indigo 1050/3000/S2000/WS2000/WS400/WS4050 Digital Press. The main focus of the course is on HP SmartStream Designer which is a plug-in for both QuarkXPress and Adobe InDesign. The course provides 40 percent lecture and 60 percent hands-on. Topics covered will relate to the Industrial market place. This includes:

  • The HP Indigo Tool, SmartStream Designer
  • Multi-color file manipulation, barcodes and security printing

Prerequisites

  • Minimum of 1 year digital prepress experience Macintosh or PC
  • Working knowledge of QuarkXPress or
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe CS suite including InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Acrobat

  • Prepress professionals who will create and send files to the HP Indigo 1050/3000/S2000/WS2000/WS4xxx Digital Press
