Course overview

The HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press; Shared Maintenance training program focuses on the operation and interaction of the mechanical, electronic, fluid and substrate transport systems on the HP Indigo press. Participants will be taught how to apply maintenance skills to resolve problems. This may include preventative and/or corrective actions, or problem escalation through the Customer Support organization.


Prerequisites

A person who meets requirements for the 7000 Shared Maintenance course has a background of:
  • Has successfully completed the operator training program for the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press
  • Has a minimum of three months experience operating the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press

Audience

Qualified HP Indigo digital press operators required to perform service routines that include preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and corrective maintenance.

Course objectives

At the completion of this course the participant will be able to:
  • Understand the functions and interactions of the major press subassemblies
  • Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical problems
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical sub-systems
  • Properly observe safety precautions to diagnose problems and perform repairs
  • Perform mandatory preventive maintenance functions at prescribed intervals
  • Competently maintain the press and minimize service calls
