Course overview
In this 3-day course, students will learn how to
successfully manage HP BladeSystem with Integrity
servers. This course focuses on system
administration components rather than hardware
deployment. The course introduces the BladeSystem
enclosure, Integrity pre-i2 server blades with iLO 2
and the EFI boot interface, Integrity i2 server blades
with iLO 3 and UEFI boot interface, BladeStorage
models, Interconnect modules, HP Onboard
Administrator, with an overview of HP Virtual
Connect and HP BladeSystem c-Class server mgmt.
using HP Systems Insight Manager. The course is
60% lecture and 40% labs.
Prerequisites
Operating system administration experience
(HC590S) topics are not focused on any specific
operating system, although Operating system
examples in this course are HP-UX 11i

Introduction to HP c-Class BladeSystems
Identify the features and components of an HP c-Class Integrity BladeSystem
Locate blades, interconnects, fans and power supplies by bay number
Use HP-UX administration commands to identify hardware-specific information
Use System Management Homepage to identify blade-specific configuration and status
Access online sites for additional BladeSystem tools and information
Using the HP Integrity BladeSystem Onboard Administrator
Use the Insight Display for basic enclosure monitoring and troubleshooting
Configure the Onboard Administrator (OA) from the Insight Display
Access the OA from a web browser
Exercise the features of the OA as an operator
