Course overview

This 4-day hands-on training course, aimed at experienced VMware Infrastructure 3 administrators, covers installation, configuration, and management of a VMware Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) using VMware Virtual Desktop Manager (VDM). The course focuses on the delivery of virtual Windows® desktops using the VDM connection-server. This course is 50 percent lecture and 50 percent hands-on labs.


Prerequisites

Required:

  • Achievement of a passing score on a short online pre-test. Click here to take the web-based, pre-class self-test to help you determine if you have the right background to attend the HB516S VMware Virtual Desktop Manager
  • Comfort with fundamental Windows administration tasks such as adding users and computers to Active Directory domains

Recommended:

  • Completion of VMware Infrastructure 3: Install and Configure (HB513S)
  • Basic experience in Microsoft Windows administration

Audience

Systems administrators and systems integrators experienced with VMware Infrastructure 3 who are responsible for their organization's deployment of VMware virtual desktop technology.
