ASE - HP BladeSystem [2010] Certification

Overview

This certification validates that the technical professional is able to implement a data center infrastructure incorporating the latest HP BladeSystem and third party products and technologies. The [2010] version of this certification includes the G7 (7th generation) products and their features. This version also includes more extensive training on the FlexNet technology as it has matured; a deeper conversation about how the products fit in the Converged Infrastructure initiative; and updated content to reflect the major change version of Insight Control software and supported third party products.

Target Audience

HP partner, employee or customer technical integration professionals who design, implement or support high level solutions based on the HP BladeSystem platform.

Requirements for candidates new to this certification

The candidate for this certification must already possess prerequisite AIS certifications and must successfully complete:

Core requirement exams = (HP0-S28) and (HP0-S30)

Prerequisite 1

• AIS - HP BladeSystem [2010] -or-
• AIS - HP BladeSystem [2009]

Prerequisite 2

• CSE – HP OpenVMS v8 -or-
• CSE – Specialty in High Availability HP-UX 11i v3 -or-
• CSE – Specialty in Networking and Security HP-UX 11i v3 -or-
• CSE – Specialty in Virtualization HP-UX 11i v3 -or-
• Any 1 of various third party operating system options. The acceptable options include:
• MCITP, Server Administrator
• MCITP, Enterprise Administrator
• MCITP, Enterprise Messaging Administrator
• MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
• MCTS: Windows Server Network Infrastructure Configuration
• MCTS: Windows Server 2008 Application Infrastructure Configuration
• MCSE on Windows Server 2003
• Certified Novell Administrator (CNA), Open Enterprise Server
• Certified Novell Engineer (CNE), Open Enterprise Server
• Novell Certified Linux Engineer (CLE)
• Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
• Linux Certified Engineer Level 2 (SAIR LCE)
• Linux Professional Institute Certification Level 2 (LPIC-2)
• Sun Certified Network Administrator (SCNA)
• Sun Certified Security Administrator (SCSECA))

Core requirement

Core Requirement 1:

• Exam HP0-S28: Integrating and Managing HP BladeSystem in the Enterprise
  (HP Education Customer Prep Courses = HK757S and HE645S)

Core Requirement 2:

• Exam HP0-S30: Design and Implementation of HP SIM and HP Insight
  (HP Education Customer Prep Courses= HK756S and HK757S) or

• Exam HP0-J33: Implementing HP StorageWorks EVA Solutions

• Any 1 of the following elective certifications:
• Certified VMware Professional (VCP)
• Citrix Certified Administrator (CCA)
• Citrix Certified Enterprise Administrator (CCEA)
