AIS - HP BladeSystem [2010]

Overview

This certification validates that the professional is able to fully prepare a BladeSystem solution for the customer so that it can be placed into a test environment or into production, or be ready for the customer to install his applications. This individual performs all aspects of Installation and Startup Services, including hardware configuration, operating system installation, HP driver installation, and full management instrumentation. This individual also should have knowledge of performance enhancement tools like the Essentials Suite of products.

Target Audience:

HP partner, employee or HP customers- technical professionals who design, implement or support solutions based on the HP BladeSystem platform.

Requirements for candidates new to this certification

Prerequisite

Prerequisite #1 - server fundamentals

Choose 1 of 2 server fundamentals prerequisites

• Exam HP2-T16: Industry Standard Architecture and Technology (HPES Course# HK751s) -or-
• CompTIA Server+ third party certification

Prerequisite #2 - operating system

Choose any 1 of the following operating system prerequisites

• CSA - HP-UX 11i v3 -or-
• CSA - HP OpenVMS v8 -or-
• CSE - Specialty in High Availability HP-UX 11i v3 -or-
• CSE - Specialty in Networking and Security HP-UX 11i v3 -or-
• CSE - Specialty in Virtualization HP-UX 11i v3 -or-
• Any 1 of various third party operating system options.
  The acceptable options include:
• MCTS, Windows Server 2008 Active Directory Configuration
• MCTS, Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure Configuration
• MCTS, Windows Server 2008 Application Infrastructure Configuration
• MCSA on Microsoft Windows Server 2003
• Novell Certified Administrator (NCA)
• Novell Certified Engineer (NCE-ES)

• Novell Certified Linux Engineer 10 (CLE)
• Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT)

• Exam HP0-S32 HP Networking (Course= HK758s Virtual Connect)
• Any of the third party options – from the HP AIS BladeSystem Certification brief- including ones below
• Cisco - Service Provider (CCIE)
• Microsoft - MCITP, Enterprise Administrator
• Cisco - Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
• Novell - Certified Linux Engineer (CLE)
• Microsoft - MCITP, Server Administrator
• Oracle Certified Expert - Oracle Solaris 10 Network Administrator
• Cisco CCNP
