In the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, HP partnered with ABC and its award-winning show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, to help families in New Orleans that had lost their treasured photos. HP used its resources, including over 250 volunteers world-wide, to restore what the families thought was irreplaceable. Using an SUV outfitted with PCs, scanners, and printers, HP set up a Mobile Photo Restoration Center in an abandoned warehouse where families could bring their photos to be restored. HP brought new life to the pictures and gave the families cherished reminders of their old lives.
