Description
The black color is faded along the horizontal direction from left to right of the page.
Most likely causes
- The black print cartridge
is nearly out of toner.
Troubleshooting and suggestions
- Print the Supplies status pages. Show me how.
- Look at the Supplies status pages, if the "Low Reached" status for the black print cartridge is YES, then replace the black print cartridge. Show me how. If the "Low Reached" status for the black print cartridge is NO, then Contact HP.
- Wait until the printer returns to the Ready state. Note that this will take several minutes.
- Print another set of PQ troubleshooting pages. Show me how.
- If the issue is not resolved, Contact HP.
Recommended parts
Order a black print cartridge.
Note: It is not necessary to replace the other print cartridges.
