Description
The background color of the black test page is missing.

 Most likely causes
 Troubleshooting and suggestions
  1. Remove the black print cartridge Picture of the printer cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window. and check the pressure lever Picture of the printer cartridge. Clicking this icon will open a new window. on front of the cartridge slot. Show me how.
  2. If the pressure lever is broken, contact HP.
  3. If the pressure lever is not broken, perform the black print cartridge test procedure for missing color. Show me how.
  4. Wait until the printer returns to the Ready state. Note that this will take several minutes.
  5. Print another set of PQ troubleshooting pages. Show me how.
  6. Look at the new set of test pages. If the issue is not resolved, contact HP.
 Recommended parts
Order a black print cartridge
Note: It is not necessary to replace the other print cartridges.
