Description

Thin horizontal lines repeating every 1.1 inches (27 mm).

Most likely causes

During shipment or storage, internal print cartridge components contact one another and may be damaged.
The print cartridge is unused for three or more weeks after the print cartridge is opened and all packaging materials are removed.
The print cartridge is near the end of its life.

Troubleshooting and suggestions

Printing approximately 100 pages may resolve the issue.
After printing 100 pages, print another set of PQ troubleshooting pages. Show me how.
Look at the new set of test pages. If performing Step 1 does not eliminate the issue, replace the black print cartridge with a new black cartridge.
After replacing the cartridge, print another set of PQ troubleshooting pages. Show me how.
Look at the new set of PQ troubleshooting test pages. If the issue is not resolved, contact HP.

Recommended parts

may need to be replaced.
Note: It is not necessary to replace the other print cartridges.
