Hewlett-Packard (HP) announced enhancements to professional certification levels that support credentials tied to Enterprise Storage and Servers (ESS) products and technologies. The updated certification levels simplify and consolidate the overall requirements for access to product and program knowledge, making it more effective and responsive to IT professionals' busy schedules.
ESS Simplification is part of an overall update of HP's Certified Professional Program, which supplies a strong professional development framework that builds and validates industry-valued competencies. HP Certified Professionals now have greater ability to provide better service for customers, employers and HP partners.
To simplify the requirements in obtaining storage and server certifications, we listened to our HP Certified Professionals, sales and pre-sales consultants and partners to understand their needs. The resulting enhancements protect investments in certifications and training by providing migration paths, testing, broader course content and acceptance (grandfathering) of existing certifications. These enhancements increase our HP Certified Professionals' skills by enabling them to sell complete HP solutions.
Regional variations in the program may affect migration requirements and grandfathering of some certifications for HP Certified Professionals. Regional program orientation sessions will be offered. Information for each region's ESS Simplification program will be available on the region's HP Certified Professional Web site.
In most cases, you will be grandfathered (accepted) into our new program. If you want to make any changes to your certification or authorization status, contact your regional or country HP Certified Professional Program Office.
