For HP Partners, Customer and Employees |
| HP Service Manager is a comprehensive and fully integrated IT Service Desk suite that helps you decrease the time it takes to resolve service problems. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) based best practices and a highly scalable service-oriented architecture let you deploy consistent, integrated processes throughout your IT organization.
To validate your knowledge and skill set for implementing and supporting the HP Service Manager v7 (SM7) software, the HP Certified Professional Program offers this new Accredited Integration Specialist certification:
The new certification is available worldwide as of April 15, 2008. |
Parallel certifications |
Please note the fact that there are two concurrent certifications:
The [2006] certification is for the existing ServiceCenter and Service Desk software exams. The [2008] certification is for the HP Service Manager 7.x software exam.
The two software products which the certification AIS - HP Service Management Software [2006] tests on will evolve into one main product called Service Manager 7.x within 3+ years (approximately 2010).
The plan is to eventually replace the current AIS – HP Service Management Software [2006] certification with the new AIS –HP Service Management Implementation [2008] certification. However, this replacement will not take place for 3+ years when ServiceCenter and Service Desk software are no longer available. Until these product solutions reach end-of-life, there will be two active and concurrent certifications.
If you will be supporting HP Service Manager v7 software, you should attain the new certification, AIS – HP Service Management Implementation [2008].
If you will be supporting only HP ServiceCenter or HP Service Desk, you should take the existing software exams to obtain the AIS - HP Service Management Software [2006] certification. There will be no further updates to these exams or the training. Once the software products reach end-of-life, all certification candidates will then attain the AIS – HP Service Management Implementation certification. |
