Most up-to-date certification in a specific technology, may be obtained at any time.
Transitional
Still recognizable by the program but will no longer be attainable as of a specific date in the future.This is the perfect time to consider either an upgrade to the new certification version or migration to the recommended go forward certification.
Inactive
Still recognized as part of the program, but no longer attainable. This certification is still valid toward benefits in the HP Certified Professional Program but will no longer be displayed on the web. You are strongly encouraged to upgrade if you hold a certification with this status.
Expiring
This certification is still recognized in the HP Certified Professional Program but will soon no longer be recognized due to significant technology changes. You are encouraged to upgrade immediately.
Expired
If you only hold an "Expired" certification, you will no longer be a member of the HP Certified Professional Program. To regain program membership you must obtain an "active" or "transitional" certification but cannot benefit from a certification upgrade path.
