Certification upgrade paths are dedicated learning paths between certification versions. You, as an HP Certified Professional choose when to upgrade to a new certification version. The benefits of upgrade path completion versus obtaining a new certification are:
- less time and money because you only need to become trained and certified on the new elements
- any exams you have already passed as part of the previous certification version would continue to count.
- limited flexibility when you wish to upgrade
However, upgrade paths are only available for a limited period of time. If you delay completion of an upgrade path beyond the deadline you will lose the benefits mentioned above and have to take the path for new candidates.
