New versions of credentials supersede older versions when there is a significant change in a skill, product or technology. While older versions are no longer achievable by new candidates as of their inactive date, they continue to be recognized as part of the HP Certified Professional Program and remain valid toward program benefits until further notice.

Credential upgrades are not mandatory, but we highly recommend that you keep your skills current by completing a recommended upgrade path. When you complete the credential upgrade path requirements, you will automatically achieve the new credential.

Authorized HP Partners, please note: While you as an individual are not obligated to upgrade a credential, your employer may require that you obtain the latest version of a credential in order for the employer to remain authorized under HP Business Partner program requirements. Partner authorization changes are communicated directly to your employer.
