Identify the status of your credential(s) |
 |
 |
|
Many of you have been asking whether you need to do anything with your credential(s) to keep them updated, and how you would know if you do need to do something. The Americas HP Certified Professional program recently launched a new tool to help you identify the status of your credential(s). By adding the credential status to your certification history view, you have one place to go to see your certification history and your credential status. In addition, if your credential status is "Inactive" or "Transitional" you may click on the link to display the upgrade path available.
To view the new credential status information, please go to the America's certification web portal, log in to the HP Certified Professional Member's site, and select "View my certification/exam history" link. The credential status column is to the left of the credential title.
Credential upgrades are not mandatory, but we highly recommend that you keep your skills current by completing a recommended upgrade path. When you complete the credential upgrade path requirements, you will automatically achieve the new credential.
Note to partners: You as an individual are not required to upgrade your credential. However, your company’s partner status with HP may depend on you having an active credential.

New practice exams help you prepare for ASE and APC credentials |
 |
 |
We’ve added two more practice exams to the program. They are:
- 086 - HP BladeSystem p-Class Solutions I
This is a practice test for the official certification exam HP0-086, HP BladeSystem p-Class Solutions I. The Exam Preparation Guide may help you prepare for this practice test, as well as for the official certification exam. Taking this practice test may aid you in achieving the Accredited Systems Engineer (ASE) - HP ProLiant Servers [2005] credential.
- 085 - Planning & Designing HP Superdome Server Solutions
This is a practice test for the official certification exam HP0-085, Planning & Designing HP Superdome Server Solutions. The Exam Preparation Guide may help you prepare for this practice test, as well as for the official certification exam. Taking this practice test may aid you in achieving the Accredited Presales Consultant (APC) - HP Superdome Server Solutions [2005] credential.
These practice tests:
- Help you assess your knowledge and readiness to take the "official" certification exam
- Help you identify areas where you may need additional study, training or on-the-job experience
- Provide performance feedback on each section
- Provide score results on each item
While practice tests help you prepare for the "official" exam, please be aware that these practice tests do not, in any way, predict your future success or score on the "official" certification exam.
Each practice test costs $10 (USD). This payment allows you to access the test three times, for a duration of three hours each time. To view these and other choices for practice tests, visit the HP Certified Professional website and scroll down to the area "Global exams/testing" to select "Practice Tests."
