As you've seen in the previous two sections, when you combine space-saving
PCs with other technologies like JetDirect printing and wireless LAN solutions,
you can create flexible workspaces that change as your business changes.
Other technologies that complement space-saving PCs like the d510 and
d530 ultra-slim desktops are:

15-inch and 17-inch flat panel monitors like the
Compaq TFT1520 and Compaq TFT1720. These monitors have height-adjustable
stands and can rotate 90 degrees to display in both portrait and
landscape mode. These monitors are less bulky, which makes smaller
spaces seem larger, and contribute to an ergonomic workspace. |

PC CommStations are clutter-reducing solutions that
sit in the base of a TFT1520m or TFT1720m flat panel monitor to
provide a complete communication device. CommStations include
two stereo speakers, microphone and headphone jacks, a USB port,
and a dual-function headset that can be used as a phone or with
a PC. |
 |
The Re-Fi Group might choose TFT1520m monitors with PC CommStations for
their incoming call center representatives, and TFT1720m monitors with
PC CommStations for their outgoing call center representatives. And while
the PC CommStations aren't necessary for a training lab, the 17-inch TFT1720
monitor with the rotating screen would be a perfect fit in the Widgets
Inc. training lab to support training activities and further promote the
professional image of the organization.
As the example scenarios in this guide have shown, downsizing the physical
footprint of your computers doesn't mean downsizing their capabilities.
Instead, it means you can have a more flexible work environment that accommodates
more staff without crowding your employees or reducing their effectiveness.
