Why wait for your digital pictures when you can print them right on
the spot—directly from your camera phone using your Universal Serial Bus (USB) connection?

Before you start you'll want to make sure your USB cable is compatible with your printer. While most printers
don't generally use a standard USB cable, all you have to do is buy a handy printer adaptor and you're ready
to print your camera phone photos.

You've just captured a spontaneous moment with your camera phone. Now it's just as easy to print that spur-of-the-photo-moment
via one of these three simple ways using a USB link:

- Bypass the PC and print directly from your camera phone to your printer using a USB data cable.
- Use PictBridge technology to transfer photos from your camera directly to a printer.
- For phones equipped with a USB port, use a USB cable to transfer your photos to your PC for printing.

A universal serial bus port is the gateway to your computer. A USB port may also exist on your camera phone, which would allow
you to transfer your photos from your camera phone right onto your PC for easy, instant printing.

TIP: Check your product manual to see if you have this port. Also check with the camera phone retailer to see if you need to buy a
specific USB cable appropriate for your camera phone.

What a frame is to a picture, the USB Cable DCU-11 is to your mobile phone and PC. The user-friendly USB standard and
the high-data transfer speed make the USB cable a perfect tool for moving data between your phone and a PC (when transferring images, or
synchronizing your phone book and calendar).

If your mobile phone has a built-in modem, you can use the cable to connect to the Internet, making web and e-mail access possible from
virtually any location. The USB cable may also feature a charger port, that allows you to charge the phone while the cable is in use, ensuring that
you won't run out of power.

PictBridge is a technology that lets you transfer photos via a USB cable from your camera phone to your printer, without a
PC or image editing software. Built on an industry standard, PictBridge allows a connection between compatible devices made
by different manufacturers. All PictBridge devices share three basic features:

- Camera phone-to-printer connecting
- Single-image printing
- Uniform error messages (in case something goes wrong)

With PictBridge, all you have to do is capture images with your camera phone, and connect to a printer via a USB cable. PictBridge
takes care of all the details, no matter what brand of camera phone you have.
1. When you connect a PictBridge-compatible camera phone to a PictBridge-compatible printer, such as the HP Photosmart compact
photo printer, built-in software automatically recognizes each device.

2. The camera phone compares its PictBridge functions to those of the printer.

3. The camera phone displays the supported functions on its menu.

4. Through the camera phone menu, you can select your photos, print multiple copies, and perform other functions such as cropping and
sizing.

5. The printer returns a message to the camera phone indicating that the job is complete.

TIP: Check your product manual to see if your phone is PictBridge compatible. Also check with the camera phone retailer to see if you
need to buy a specific USB cable for your camera phone model.
