While the HP Photosmart C8180's disc burner can burn any ordinary recordable
CDs or DVDs, it's also LightScribe-enabled.
LightScribe is a special type of technology
that labels your discs by burning a design directly onto your CD
or DVD. Because the labels are laser-etched—not printed—there's
no ink, no smudging, and no peeling. To burn a label onto a disc,
you'll need Lightscribe CD or DVD media. Choose from five different
colour backgrounds.
