HP digital cameras offer a couple
of different solutions: in-camera red-eye removal and automatic
in-camera red-eye removal. These are part of HP’s
Real Life technologies—features that make it easy to
take great pictures.
Automatic in-camera red-eye removal
This revolutionary new feature allows you to set your camera control to remove red-eye before you take your photo.
In-camera red-eye removal
HP’s R-series and
M-series digital cameras, such as the HP
Photosmart M527 and M425
let you manually remove red-eye from
a previously taken photo in just a few steps. You can review your
photos on your camera’s
LCD screen and remove red-eye instantly without having to download
the images to a computer or printer.
HP was the first camera manufacturer in the world to feature in-camera
red-eye removal, now standard on all M-series and R-series digital
cameras.1

Here are some reliable tips for avoiding
red-eye in the first place:

- Whenever possible, try not to use a flash. If you have to use a
flash, ask your subject to look toward the camera, but not directly
at the lens.

- Use additional light sources in the room.

- Take pictures during the day.

- Stand farther away from your subject.
