Keynote Speaker Biographies

Bob Pereira, Data Centre Infrastructure Architect

Bob is a Data Centre Infrastructure architect and a 22 year veteran at HP. He first became involved with data centres in the early 1990s, when Compaq introduced the first Rack Mount PC-based Server and drove the development of the first set of worldwide product safety requirement and certification procedures for rack-mounted servers. With the dramatic growth in data centre power density requirements in recent years, Bob’s focus has been on the development of new power and cooling technologies, for which he holds multiple patents. He has recently served as the liaison between ISS and the HP IT Data Centre Consolidation Engineering team. He also played a vital role in launching the Dynamic Smart Cooling solution and the startup of HP's new Scalable Computing and Infrastructure division.

Hanif Mawji, Senior Manager, Canadian Business Development, AMD

Hanif manages the Commercial/Enterprise business for AMD, which includes relationships with Canadian Fortune 500 companies, as well as Government and Educational organizations. While promoting the benefits of AMD technology as a choice to enable competitive IT infrastructure, Hanif also works closely with Multinational OEMs, Commercial Channel Partners, and Strategic ISV partners.
